This week I spoke to a few adult mentors to gather information and advice about their past experiences in hiking and habit forming.
What I discovered is that although these adults gave me information I could not use it to my advantage.
They told me about how when they used to hike they did not go as long as a whole week. They went for only a day or two so they did not need to take supplies or food. On the other hand I need to take food and bedding materials to last me at least a week.
The adults did however give me useful information on habit forming.
They told me that the best way for me to form a habit was to be strict with myself and make sure I am consistent. I hope that this advice helps me stick to my habit!

Over Break
Over break I started my exercise plan and have started running almost everyday.
I already feel much better then before I started working out!
I can't wait until I'm in perfect shape and ready to hike the whole trail.

My Genius Hour Today
Today I researched the App trail map and started routing a trail through the parts that I want to do.
I need to make the route to go through water so I can always have enough to drink.
I found an online guidebook and looked at different spots along the landmarks I would want to do.
I started making an actual map and decided what I don´t want to go through.
All in all it was a very progressive day.

Genius Hour 1st Day
For my first day of genius hour I researched a diet and exercise plan. I made a exercise plan that would work for me and that I can fit into my busy schedule. It consists of cardio, abs, biceps and triceps.
I made this routine in order to prepare for my hiking trip which is now four months away.
I now need to start looking up backpacks and other essential materials I need.
